Back In March the Tigerettes took a trip to a nearby community garden named Vermont Square Community Garden. Ms. Tamiko Nakamoto was our guide. Along with taste testing all of the veggies, plants, and flowers, we actually learned a few things. One thing we learned is that you can grow a new pineapple with a stem of the old pineapple. We also learned in our STEM Elective Class that worms actually help in your garden, they create fertilizer so your plants can grow healthier. Lastly, we learned lady bugs help too. They eat parasites that may harm your garden.
